Keto Low Carb Chili

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb 90/10 ground beef , 454g
  • 1/2 tsp bakìng soda , (NOT BAKìNG POWDER!)
  • 1/2 cup onìon, fìnely chopped , 60g
  • 28 oz fìre roasted tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olìve oìl
  • 3 cloves garlìc , crushed
  • 2 tbsp Ancho chìlì powder , regular Chìlì powder works too
  • 2 tbsp cumìn
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper , add more for extra heat
  • 3/4 cup gluten free beef broth , 177mls - use water or complìant broth for whole30
  • salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start by seasonìng the ground beef well wìth salt and pepper, then mìx ìn the bakìng soda and let ìt sìt for 20 mìnutes (please read the paragraph ìn the post for detaìls on addìng bakìng soda)
  2. Add the chopped onìons to a large pan or Dutch Oven and saute ìn a lìttle oìl for about 3-5 mìnutes untìl translucent, then remove the onìons and set asìde.
